    I'm heading out to the gym before the Memorial Day crowd fills the park ups in my parts, so I was getting my Spotify playlist together for the grunt work. I love a good musical mash-up. I've been bumping this combo of Tupac and Lee Morgan below all weekend by French DJ and jazz musician S.Mos. Unlike Wynton Marsalis (the Uncle Ruckus/Bill Cosby of jazz), I think hip hop and jazz are natural siblings and, at least to my ears, the track below is the exact kind of fusion of both genres that the late MC, Guru of GangStarr, tried to pull off with his Jazzmatazz series but never really quite made it.
