Face it; outside of Queen Latifah, Lil Kim is the pioneer for female emcees being catapulted to the mainstream. Lil Kim was easily the first female rapper to have a classic – 5 MIC – hip hop – album with Hard Core. Even Beyonce recently paid homage to the Queen Bee with a photo montage high-lighting how QB’s style was trend setting.

The Jocker to Nicki Minaj’s Batman, Remy Ma; just dropped another hard diss track featuring the Zsa Zsa Gabor look alike, Lil Kim titled ‘Wake Me Up’, with production mimicking Kim’s classic track, ‘Queen Bitch’.



Yeah ‘Queen Bitch’ is better, but yo this Remy shit is firah. Remy spits…

Yeah Remy may got bars but outside of dissing Nicki, what else does she got going for her?

During her 107 Summer Jam set Remy Ma had a collection of current and past female emcees, including the Queen Bee, Young Ma, Cardi B, Queen Latifah, among others. So I guess now Nicki Minaj’s female emcee crew to combat Remy Ma’s crew will feature Foxy Brown, Iggy Azalea, Lil Mo, Eve, Roxanne Shante and Azealia Banks.

Truth be told (bi-polar or not) Azealia Banks would murder every female rapper listed above…like for real. Lyrically, creatively, stylistically, she's the Kanye of female emcees.
