Call it childish, nerdy, or geeky, but I love me some Pokemon. I bought Pokemon Y about a month ago after not playing the games for years. I was excited to see this trailer come out shortly thereafter. Obviously, the game play isn't going to be anything like this, but I see a lot of potential to get people to go outside and interact with one another if it's developed correctly. Anyone else at least remotely interested/excited about this? I'm sure Pokemon is probably a little too past your time for the older squad members.

Yeah. If it's going to be any good, they have to at least charge people. I can't imagine having all of these features for free. That might also deter some people though. The 3DS is alright. I pretty much only use it for Pokemon and Super Smash Bros.

That's one of the concerns. People thinks it might be one of those things where they limit your activity per day depending on how much you pay to unlock. I hope not.

Not much of a gamer, but the anime geek/tech nerd in me is pretty excited about whats to come. I was talking about this with some friends the other day and we agreed that it'll prolly be a free app, with in game paid features for diff pokeballs, food, medicine, etc. That way it'll be accessible for all types of people, and could attract more along the way, similar to Kim K's "celebrity" app.

I'm not too familiar with how successful "celebrity" was, but I'm hoping the paid features won't be too limiting.
