The Other Cuffing Season

When I travel, people always ask about Chicago weather. For the record: I'm a brother that actually likes Winter weather (as long as you stay in your place on the calendar, Winter; show up at the front door in late November, cover me with wet, white stuff in December and January, then get yo ass out of my bed by end of February). One reason I dig winter. I get to bust out the sweaters!

Not those ugly, off-the-rack, rapey-assed Bill Cosby-type sweaters (the Smithsonian BET' not put that shit in the new African-American Museum)...


But good, fit-your-style-and-body sweaters. A good sweater is something that looks great on men of ALL ages, old or young.







After all, what's the use of a cuffing season, if you got no cuffs? LOL

Yeah, I think people forget that sport coats can be separates apart from a complete suit. Just avoid elbow patches until you're 40 and teaching the next generation of medical interns. Since pipe smoking is bad for your health, maybe you could just chomp on a juba root to get that Sigmund Freud look.

Pocket squares shouldn't really match your tie. That's the one area of the ensemble you're supposed to let your individual, freak-flag fly.
