    Haven't seen mention of this series here yet.
    It starts Wednesday on the WGN @10:00p
    Good names behind and in front of the camera.
    Starring Aldis Hodge, Jurnee Smollet-Bell, Mykelti Williamson and John Ledgend produced
    It looks both interesting and different from other slave narratives, as it appears from what little I've seen to be told from a position of strength and mostly self reliance.
    And it's getting pretty positive reviews.
    My DVR is set and I'm in.

    I watched a view mins of the show. I had to turn it off. I really have no desire to watch any more shows on slavery. I would only watch stuff for educational purposes but I cant watch shows on slavery for enjoyment. It just puts me in a mood (like I want to start a Nat Turn raid) that I have to get myself out off.

    I watched it and after the slight disconnect with modern day soundtrack (my same feelings that changed after the 3rd viewing of Djanjo Unchained) I was totally drawn in and enjoyed the story.
    The acting was completely on point, notably Aldis Hodge who has a commanding presence throughout and is also kinda easy on the eyes.
    Looking forward to the next episode.

    Aldis had me ready to push Journey off the screen so I could "tend to his wounds." I thought the show was very well done. It isn't the typical slave narrative which was refreshing. I thought the modern day soundtrack worked and all the acting is phenomenal so far. I'm curious to see how this story unfolds and I'm hoping they get the ratings.
