Upcoming Podcasts

Um..*nervously raises hand* to be honest I like when you guys talk about any and everything, current events, articles, random stuff, you two just flow really well off each other so it works!

There's always something going on (especially these days) and hearing Y'alls commentary on events is refreshing and even reassuring at times. I personally loved the top/bottom round table like most others but I can't think of something similar for you to do with that right now .

I think just constantly providing listeners with a different view on things is interesting like maybe a podcast where we hear from family members of gay people (parents, children etc.) and get to see how they dealt with their loved ones being gay or one with white gay culture vs black gay culture, or a DL one with anonymous guests, idk how you would get these people lol but you get the point.

 

Article Discussions,Randomness,and Personal stories like the last two podcasts.The interviews have been good for introducing me to new too though.Another interview with a squad member with an intersting story would be cool ,like the one you guys did with @acessential .

 

I'm pretty much down for all of the podcasts. I like hearing what you guys think on current events. Its dope to hear different perspectives from like minded dudes.

 

I actually enjoy the interview podcasts. I think there was one were you interviewed someone in school in china/japan .. that was pretty cool.

 

I hope you guys discuss Yusaf Mack's story. Umm.... current events are good too.

Not random off-the-cuff tho.

Articles/Essays... yes!! the one about empathizing with the DL men can be discussed in context to Yusaf Mack.

Relationships/Dating = OF COURSE! lol

 

I think I'd like more views on certain current topics on the forums. I also think roundtable discussions could be more frequent and could just be some where people are just shooting the sh!+, not necessarily about specific topics.

I think an interesting topic would be one about more taboo topics like interviews of escorts, of Johns, sex party frequent fliers, people in open relationships. Though these subjects can be spread out like over months at a time because people would be tuning in just for them.

Also I liked the LGBT music pod cast even though I did the like the artists myself, it was interesting and another one or even just talking ahoy main stream music would work.

 

I have to agree with most of these posts. What ever topic you pick morphs in to a number of other discussions. Perhaps you should fish some the past podcasts for topics that you touched on but never discussed deeply. Much like some talk shows, select a few different topics that might produce an almost naturally segway.

 

I sometimes hear about the elderly LGBT being forgotten. I've even heard that some who are may reenter the closet due to nature of their chosen retirement communities. You aren't there yet, but do you ever encounter or converse with older guys, ones who may have unique perspectives or memories of a different community? If you have some experience with older gay couples, that could allay some fear of aging alone that some have since, in many places, it seems like older gay men aren't visible.

Generally speaking, I like any discussion that gives me insight into how people think and feel, whether it's the founders or community members in a roundtable. More roundtables would provide a greater variety of perspectives.

 

I'm down for whatever. I'm sure that you both will be able to come up with topics for more podcasts. Maybe you can do a 30 or 40 mins podcast interviewing a straight woman or two and their perception on gay and bisexual men.

 

Let's take that a step further. A discuss about the double standard in society regarding DL/bisexual men vs DL/Bisexual women.

 

That is even better. I would say a podcast on the perception of being gay/bisexual men vs. gay/bisexual women and it include a straight woman in the discussion.

 

I think you'd need a gay friendly straight woman and one who is also more conversative so there's a different POV.

I Have heard/read "all the good ones gay and that's why I can't find me no mane" that IRDC about the victim playing chicks' POV.

 

Do a podcast about, "should the DL man receive empathy? " and or do a round table discussion and give reference to the Yusef Mack story. Take a survey.

 

I also agree with doing more roundtable podcasts. Get some of your own friends if you don't want any of us. Different perspectives are important every now and then.

 

I like a mix of current events, article discussions, and just on the fly discussions. Dating and Relationships is cool, its always a interesting topic, but it can get played after a while.

 

I agree with everyone else-all of the topics are good and necessary. You may have done a podcast about this:
White gay men who exclusively date black men. Vice versa.
Mormon church refusing to baptize the children of gay couples in their churches.


You guys got this-there are plenty of stuff out there to discuss and we are listening.

I like hearing Ocky and Nick just talk about random stuff...and when Nick talks about his sex life.

I'd also love to hear a podcast devoted to the Black Bisexual perspective (male & female) or a convo around Polyamory vs. Open Relationships. The Black and Poly scene is hella big here in NYC, so I'm curious to learn other's viewpoints/experiences with it. Maybe invite/interview Black Poly and/or Bi couples for an episode?

Note: Polyamory is not equal to Polygamy.

 

I definitely would like to hear from friends or family members of gay/bisexual guys to know how they took the news of finding out someone in their family was gay or bisexual.
