The official announcement of the digital series will be made at New York Comic Con in October.

Valiant Entertainment is keeping the details about its first live-action project under wraps until the official reveal at New York Comic Con next month, but that hasn't stopped the company from releasing the first look at Michael Rowe as British master assassin Ninjak more than a week early.

Rowe, known to audiences as Deadshot on the CW's Arrow, is part of a cast for the mystery project that also includes Straight Outta Compton's Ciera Foster, Power Rangers' Jason David Frank and the WWE's John Morrison. The project, which Valiant has confirmed will be an original digital series, will be directed by Aaron and Sean Schoenke, the filmmakers behind the Bat in the Sun YouTube series of fan films.

In a statement accompanying the image release, Valiant CEO Dinesh Shamdasani said, "As Valiant gears up for an upcoming slate of film, television and video game releases, we felt the timing was right to begin to produce live-action digital content that would both give ours fans an experience truly worthy of the Valiant Universe, while also introducing new fans to the Valiant characters in the same way the animated television shows of the 1980s and 1990s did for comics in years past."

Valiant announced a five-picture deal with Sony last year, with the intention of bringing two of its fan-favorite series, Bloodshot and Harbinger, to the big screen. Other Valiant properties, including Archer & Armstrong andShadowman, are also in development for the big screen.

The official announcement for the upcoming digital project will be made at the Valiant x Bat In The Sun: Top-Secret Project panel on Saturday Oct. 8 at New York Comic Con.
