    In case you haven’t been paying attention, Vivica A. Fox is on a quest to reclaim her ’90s B-list celebrity status.

    Her latest attempt comes by way of her new reality show, Black Magic, on Lifetime.The show follows Fox around as she prepares to launch a new business in Las Vegas. The concept is an exotic, all-male revue featuring hot dancers. It’s supposed to be like Magic Mike with a dose of melanin, providing ladies with “the ultimate girls night out.”

    Of course, this is not Ms. Fox’s first foray into the world of reality television. In 2008, she hosted VH1’s short-lived Glam God with Vivica A. Fox, where she judged wannabe celebrity stylists. In 2009, she hosted TVLand’s The Cougar, where she helped pair women of a certain age with 20-something men. And in 2012, she hosted the Lifetime show Prank My Mom, a secret camera show where kids punk their moms. She also appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice 7 back in 2014, and served as the celebrity spokesperson for the newly revamped Psychic Friends Network.

    Given the success of Magic Mike, especially among gay men, we’d say that, unlike her previous efforts, Vivica may be onto something with this new show. There’s just one teeny tiny problem: She doesn’t want any gay guys there.

    In a recent interview with Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy on the morning radio show The Breakfast Club, she was asked if her show was “for gay men, too.”

    “Aw, hell no,” Vivica was quick to reply. “Back all that up. No! NO!”

    When asked why her dancers wouldn’t perform for gay men, Vivica replied, “Because there’s no need to. They dance for women. It’s called the ultimate girls night out for a reason.”

    Well, OK then! Message received loud and clear.

    This isn’t the first time Vivica has made homophobic remarks in public either. In 2015, she insinuated her ex, rapper 50 Cent, was gay because he enjoyed rim jobs, and said he looked like a gay “booty snatcher” in a photoshoot he did with Soulja Boy for Vibe magazine.

    Vivica A. Fox has responded to our story about the comments she made on a morning radio show earlier today… by doubling down.

    Naturally, people didn’t respond well to her comments. But apparently, Vivica doesn’t give a damn. This afternoon she tweeted:



    Then she said “folks” (we can only assume she means “gay folks”) were blowing things out of proportion:



    She followed that a short while later by saying:



    When someone specifically sent her our article and asked for clarification on her comments, she replied:



    In other words: Our initial interpretation of her remarks was correct. She doesn’t want gay people there; however, she welcomes them to still tune into her TV show. Just don’t come to the actual live show in Vegas.

    but isn't it clear that the show is not for men, period. I just think she fell for the radio host trap and stepped right in the shit. What a way to create buzz for the failing show by creating controversy.. Maybe I'm a lil sensitive but her response to the question should have been men are not allowed and left it at that.

    I'm more shocked to find out she's not the type to have a gay dude in her clique named Rondell who can hang because he's as fabulous as her girlfriends.Looks like she'll have to do 3 direct-to-BET movies this year to recoup the money she's going to miss because of her clientele restrictions.

    If a straight guy turns gay, he was gay to begin with. Probably just questioning or downlow.

    But for real, gay men are sensitive to stuff like this. Perhaps she could've been more eloquent in how she stated her position but the reality is it's her revue. There are plenty of gay go go dancers and strippers out there stripping for gay men. Sometimes, I don't want straight people with me when i'm relaxing either. IJS

    I'll be watching the show. I just won't go to Las Vegas. They know for sure that gay men and str8 women will be watching.

    At the end of the day, if the dancers do not want to dance for gay men, then that is perfectly fine. I will just go to Swinging Richards ATL & IN DA CUT in Atlanta lol.
