It just seems to me that if your child has a disability that causes him to frequently get lost during these races...why not put a tracker on him? It just seems like neglect to me.

I don't think so. You know you wanna keep your child safe from stuff like this. You know your child gets lost easily. Insure that doesn't happen by giving him a tracking device.

I feel you, being that it's known he gets lost on occasion.

What if he lose it while running or any of the other things that can go wrong with such things. from what I read of the story she did everything she could and so did the people who organized the race. He most likely would have been fine if that grown ass man had just kept on driving

A lot of people get lost half of the stories I hear start with people getting lost and I kinda get what your saying but i still see it at going down a more complex path them you realize its like the road to hell is paved with the word i can't spell

It is upsetting that anyone could pose the question, is it the parent' fault. A tracking device would have helped find the boy sooner, but there is a possibility that this could have happened even WITH a device.

The problem is that some white people feel entitled to take matters into their own hands, draw quick conclusions and quickly claim self-defense..."cuz he was black and probably guilty anyway."

This man made a calculated decision to assault a young boy based off of his aappearance. of course his race had something to do with it, but this man also took into account this boys age and size. He figured he was big and bad enough he could take on a skinny kid, but i bet if that skinny kid was the size of Michael Brown, he woulda just called the cops and not gotten out of his car.

This story is no different than others where a "concerned citizen" (e.g. George Zimmerman) felt "threatened" and decided to handle the situation on their own, even when there was not a perceived threat. again, if you feel bad enough to take on someone and throw the first blow, you arent that threatened, are you?
