    It was announced in December that Queen Latifah had landed a lead role in a music-themed television pilot created by Empire‘s Lee Daniels.

    Today at Fox’s Upfront presentation in New York, executives premiered the flashy trailer for Star, which centers on three young women in Atlanta, Georgia, who form a girl group and are forced to navigate the ever-demanding music business.

    Lenny Kravitz and newcomers Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady also star in the new drama series.

    I like Lenny. But yeah I agree with @bpaisle it would be nice to see men but they've already done that with Empire.

    The cast is very diverse.

    Idk if it is my type of show though lol

    I like these hip-hopera dramas initially but then they fade. I like the concept of musicals and performed in a few but they never appear on my playlist.

    However, that blond girl reminds me of my girl TORI KELLY.

    I will probably tune in but it won't last.
