Cypher Avenue fave, Childish Gambino, has been on these pages a lot lately. Most recently we placed Donald Glover on a Suicide Watch based on what we read in his letter scrawled out on multiple sheets of hotel notepad paper. Turns out that wasn’t a cry for help, just the musings of an artist.

With the upcoming release of his new album “because the internet” on December 10th, you can expect to see a lot more from him in the future. In the strange artistic vein of his experimental short film “Clapping For The Wrong Reasons”, Gambino so far has released these two unusual promos for the album.

I’m so amped for the new project (which features appearances by Jhene Aiko, Azealia Banks and my new favorite rookie Chance The Rapper) that I’ve already pre-ordered the album.

So far, 6 tracks have been “leaked” including Yaphet Kotto, 3005, Worldstar, Shadows and Sweatpants…I’m really digging the direction he’s headed in this time around.
