I’m not a huge fan of J. Cole but I gotta admit the man has a great hustle. He’s slowly been inching his way into the general public’s consciousness each year since he stepped on the scene. Some could argue that Kendrick Lamar took the spot that as previously reserved for J. Cole, but that is for another post.
Fresh out of the oven is Cole’s new music video “Crooked Smile ft TLC” from his newest album Born Sinner. I learned a few things while watching this well made music video:
1.) Don’t do drugs…at least not in America.
2.) Don’t have a cute daughter…at least not in America.
3.) J Cole is getting more attractive with age.

I love the video, don’t understand what it has to do with the song, but the message was powerful. How you @nick do not care for J. Cole, i don’t understand, literally he is one of the best modern day lyricist.
Dope lyricist…but he’s boring. That’s kills it for me.
Powerful video to hi-light the injustice of this tragic situation.
I was done with his downs syndrone looking ass after his anti gay lyrics posing as “art”. I bought his debut album and that will be the last.
Do you not listen to or support anyone that has a line gay men in it? Or rappers that disrespect women? I don’t think he was out of line, he witty expressed himself and I don’t think he was being homophobic. A lot of tmes people stir controversy to keep them in the spotlight, I just think at times people are too sensitive.
His lyric was “I don’t mean no disrespect whenever I say ‘faggot,’ OK, faggot/ Don’t be so sensitive/ If you want to get fucked in the ass.”
I didn’t get offended with the line because how I took it, he said it and directed it to a straight male… And used the word then pointed it out that he wasn’t bashing any group of ppl by using that word. I recall several times as a child calling my cousins and being called that word. Doesn’t make it right but, for some reason I wasn’t offended
