In case you missed Director Patrik-Ian Polk’s new film, “The Skinny” during its limited theatrical run, it makes its network television premiere Sunday July 8th at 8pm eastern on the gay cable network LOGO.

If you’ll recall, we reviewed the film back in April giving it 3 and 1/2 out of 5 stars and we interviewed Patrik-Ian Polk to get some insight into his filmmaking process. While I have mixed feelings about the film overall, I’d still recommend that you all check it out this weekend!

The film opened to positive reviews two weeks ago at Outfest, a LGBT-oriented film showcase and festival in Los Angeles, California. Not only did Polk screen the film, he was also awarded the 2012 Fusion Achievement Award, presented by openly gay film director Lee Daniels (Precious).

THE SKINNY tells the story of five Brown University classmates who reunite one year after graduation for Gay Pride weekend in New York City. Through three action-packed days of sex, drama, secrets, lies & laughter- these five college pals discover just how much can change in one short year.
