FO-Pain

When you need someone in Hip Hop to obsess over homosexuality, you can always count on DJ Vlad. We had to stop posting videos of his constant questions about gay people to random rappers because they were just too plentiful at one point.

This recent interview with Hip Hop singer T-Pain about homosexuality was too good to resist though. Its short but full of hilarious truths that we have been saying for years now.

In addition to talking about straight black men who “don’t got no bitches” thinking that every gay man wants them, T-Pain also speaks on the Hip Hop community’s distancing from Frank Ocean since his dramatic coming out Tumblr letter back in 2012.

As hard as I was on the young man’s ambiguous admission that he was gay bisexual once kinda in love with a male friend, I never considered that people in the music world would actually stop working with him considering his talent, Grammy Awards and popularity. It wasn’t until I say this interview that I realized that Kanye West and Jay- Z have really been the only musicians outside of Frank Ocean’s camp to feature him on the chorus of a new rap song since his “coming out”.

As T-Pain puts it: “I don’t think urban music is getting more gay-friendly because if that was the case, Frank Ocean would be on a lot more songs. I know niggas that will not do a song with Frank Ocean just because he gay, but they need him on the fucking song and that’s so terrible to me, man.”
