So the 2013 Emmy Awards Nominations were announced this morning. A few of my favorites were nominated. There were some head scratchers here too. I predicted Michelle Fairley would be nominated for her gangster performance in Game of Thrones…she was not. Shows how much I know. Looks like every gay black man’s favorite actor Kerri Washington was nominated for Scandal. That popping noise you hear is the sound of gay-finger snapping of approval. Is she only brown face on the entire list? She won’t win, but its still a good look for her.
For you fellow TV Junkies out there, what are your predictions? Did your favorite show/actor get snubbed? Let’s vent.

So becuase of this site I started watching Scandal and Game of thrones and while scandal is ok, Game of Thrones is the SH!t for real!!!! I am about done with first season of GOT and I am really feeling it. Dragon eggs, Slitting throats, snow demons, lol the nerd in me is excited!!!! lol
I dont be into awards shows( unless it is music based) but I hope Game of thrones wins something… it is good stuff!!
Game of Thrones is that work. Going through withdrawal right now, gotta wait a year for more episodes, smh

I definitely don’t watch any of these shows but I do applaud Kerry Washington for being nominated though. It’s a huge step in the right direction.
@LEE B, I def agree with you about award shows. I will be looking forward to the MTV VMA show and the BET Hip-Hop Awards… BET HHA be too ratchet though! It always goes DOWN on that award show! I guess that’s why it is not shown live because you NEVER know what can happen. LOL.
A little ratchet-ness is good every now and then.
LOL yeah you’re right! It helps bring spontaneity and breaks the monotony of MOST award shows. Many of them don’t have surprises anymore like they did in the 90s and the 80s.
“Every gay man’s favorite “”actor”” Kerry Washington” ha. Maybe your trying to appeal to the trans community but last I checked she was an actress LOL.
Anywho, naw none of the shows I watch are on this list. Which is probably why this Emmy announcement didn’t make me scream and shout in joy.
LOL…nah bro, I just Hate Hate Hate when ppl call female actors “Actress.” We don’t call female Doctors “Doctress” or female lawyers “Lawyeress.” The take acting classes just like men, not actressing classes, lol
I gotta admit I watch a few shows in this list. The standouts are Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Veep, Newsroom, House of Cards and Arrested Development.
I was a bit intimidated by the layout of the site but I think I have the hang of it now. Anyways, I thought American Horror Story was kind of awful this season. Season 1 was incredible but season 2 was just too much too soon.
I agree the second season was horrible hopefully they pull it together for the third season.
Ugh..”Booooooo” to the Emmys altogether.
Ain’t this ALL primetime..?
While I know I am in the minority, I do not watch Game of Thrones, I have never been a Dungeons and Dragons guy. I have tried to watch it but it just does not appeal to me.
House of Lies with Don Cheadle is the SHIT, I feel like Nick, going through withdrawal waiting on season 3 to come back on. I recommend all to to watch it, and I heard House of Cards is a great show; I keep meaning to watch it on Hulu.
I don’t get into the Emmys like I used to when I was younger. I think the only award show I really get into are the Image Awards.
