For me, this dog was the best in show at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. This all wheel drive, hybrid sports car is absolutely beautiful.
Some technical stuff…The NSX will utilize a form of the new hybrid Super Handling-AWD system. The V-6, likely a 3.5- or 3.7-liter, will drive the rear wheels by means of a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Unlike the current SH-AWD system, which would send power to the front wheels by way of a driveshaft and a mechanical differential, the NSX’s front wheels will instead be powered by a pair of electric motors. As each motor is assigned to a wheel, the system has the ability to accelerate the outer wheel in a corner, improving the car’s ability to turn in and rotate. Oh and by the way…we are talking about 400 hp.
As good as this sounds it makes me feel bad. Not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good. I look at this car and I get a devilish grin on my face. Front profile or viewing from the back, the sharp edges combined with subtle edges and curves give the NSX a commanding appearance.
NSX Roadster in 2015?
Just sexy as hell!
Yes I know I’m weird.

I don’t know about this new NSX. As a former Honda fan I’ve been disappointed by the lack of balls the company has displayed in discontinuing build performance cars and pulling the plug on its V8, V10, and RWD platform. I doubt this will ever see production and even if it does the V6 hybrid will probably no match for the new Corvette, Viper, Porsche GT2/GT3, let alone the next gen models from Ferrari, and Lamborghini.
