The Best Muthafukin Video Game Trailers For 2014 We’ve Seen So Far*

It’s the weekend and I finally have the opportunity to devote some time to the Cypher Avenue gamers. Video game publishers blessed us with some hot trailers and game play footage at this year’s E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo. Of course we have the standard same-ole-same-oles; Call Of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin’s Creed, Halo, Batman, Forza, etc. nonetheless, the trailers and still very entertaining. I will say it is great to see a new Alien game that seems to be built around horror and suspense in Alien: Isolation. This Fall we will be able to go back and relive the Halo 2 multiplayer experience which in my opinion was the best in the franchise. Also will we finally see a new Star Wars game? Check out the action packed trailers below with a bit of commentary from Ockydub.

Mortal Kombat X. Visually this is fantastic but yet it still feels and looks the same. Either way it will serve its purpose as frat boy hood masculine video game violence. Yep, I’m there. GET OVER HERE!

The tech concepts within the new Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is pretty dope and apparently is actually based off of some “real” prototype military technology.

From Rocksteady we get the finale to the Batman Arkham Knight series. Batman faces the Scarecrow and a host of other super villains. The next gen graphics in addition to the Batmobile are fantastic. We may actually get a chance to drive it this go around.

I must admit I’m not fully sold on Bungie’s Destiny as of yet. I keep hearing promises about this being the best multiplayer gaming experience yet but I will wait until I play the finished product to pass judgment.

Real talk; Halo’s theme song has to be the most recognizable next to Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. The monk chants are so captivating and melodramatic. 343 Industries has confirmed the new trilogy starring Master Chief resumes, as the franchise’s hero comes to grips with the death of companion Cortana. 343 Industries states it will feature a new tech engine to bolster the game’s size and scale. Anywho, Halo 5: Guardians is coming but until then…so is all of Halo wrapped up into one nice package with the Halo Master Chief Collection. Oh Joy!

Alien: Isolation seems very promising. Gone is the Alien/Marines shoot-em-up but a more horror suspense driven experience. Okay, let’s see what you got! Check out the IGN staff playing in the dark.
