We are familiar or have heard the term “gay for pay.” This is when straight male porn actors are paid to perform in scenes with another male. The other male could be straight or self-identified as gay. In keeping with the fluidity of sexuality there have been a few self-identified straight male actors that crossed that line in having scenes with trans-women. Similarly, there have been self-identified straight and gay porn actors having scenes with trans-men.

It’s been a common theme in straight porn to see the female lead with multiple principle male actors (two, three, four or more). Seeing a woman get every orifice filled shows dominance and there’s an added fantasy fulfillment element of “being taken completely”. In most scenes, the contact between the male actors is extremely close. There is some homo-eroticism, visually, seeing the men that close to one another. For example, during dual penetration on the female, both men are fully engaged and erect. One male actor may feel the firm grip of the other male actor while the second male actor mounts from the rear or maintains for balance or experiencing the light touch of the other actor’s ball sack against their dick while in coitus.

There are a few male actors that are dead ass against any other direct performances with another male actor. On December 5, 2018, female adult star August Ames, posted on Twitter a ‘heads up’ or warning to another female actress about her upcoming scene with another male porn actor who performs with men. Twitterdom reigned down on her calling her homophobic. The adult film industry has mandatory testing and if there was ever something in the test results that is inconclusive they wouldn’t film at all. So, her comments were based on personal opinion and not doing a job she’s paid to do. She admits that, “That is just how it is with me. I’m not putting my body at risk. I don’t know what they do in their private lives.” She later tweeted that she loved the gay community and none of her intentions were malicious following the huge backlash and comments on her feed.  The next day, she later committed suicide (by hanging). Her husband said it was due to cyberbullying others think an earlier film shoot may have been instrumental as well. Fellow adult star Rico Strong responded by stating:

As previously hinted, there is a stigma associated with doing gay and straight scenes. Some male crossover actors can get blacklisted from working with women with several of the agencies and production companies in the genre. The male performers are unfairly deemed HIV risks. I am certain that there are guys that work in straight porn that would do something sexual with a man for money. One performer I admire is Quinton Hillocks aka Kevin Stallion. He’s been in scenes with some variety from interracial, black, and plus-sized women. I ponder if the price is right could we ever see him in a scene with another man. On second thought, not a chance on film, but perhaps as an escort, one can only imagine. There has been a long standing rumor of Brian Pumper working with trans-woman TS Madison. Nothing has been realized with that collabo and possibly may never get realized especially after Sarge had an episode with TS Madison.

Here’s a short list of a few adult male performers who has “crossed-over”:

It’s about selling the fantasy to appease the consumer. If the consumer wants to see two masculine, attractive guys have foreplay with each other before bringing the attention to the female in the mix then why not? There is a segment that would consume and support. However, this would be considered too small of a niche market so not much of a maximum return.  The porn industry is a $13 billion dollar industry and the gay market is estimated to be 5-10% of the overall market. One psych study report published that 1/3 of people watching porn are women. Pornhub’s annual review revealed that over ¼ of their users were women and 37% of the viewers of gay male porn on the site were female. What’s even more interesting is that their research revealed that over half of the women watching gay porn also imagine themselves as a man while masturbating describing this an “empowering”. Whether the performer’s incentive is money or us obtaining the visual in seeing see two attractive men titillating and taboo there is power in the peen. Whether the fantasy gets realized on film or even in our own imagination it’s there for us to use.
