We had the opportunity to have an in-depth interview with Pierré about the series (full interview coming soon) and we were excited to hear that the upcoming episodes will contain more than the usual stereotypes of gay men. While the first episode seemed to contradict that idea, this new episode does a full 180° turn by giving us more background into the characters minds. Hopefully the writers don’t stray too far into the melodrama territory in an attempt to go against the “gay grain.” So far the series has potential but definitely still feels uneven and attempting to find itself.
Regardless of where they take the series, its great to see everyday gay characters on the screen with everyday struggles and obstacles. Be on the lookout for our exclusive interview with the showrunner Lamont Pierré where we discussed the state of black gay cinema, his series Freefall and Cypher Avenue’s unexpected connection to the show.

ha I see you Lamont. Ok ok very interesting. Some nice character development and I am sure some viewers out there have experienced situations very similar. Anxious to see where this goes.
Thanks, Ocky!
I am enjoying this series, thought provoking storyline, strong characters, good acting and a dynamic cast that I want to learn more about!
Wander if the cast ever heard of “Acting Classes?” “Directing Classes?” I’m not apologizing for coming hard. Just can’t do it. Screen presence? yes. Camera presence? yes. Acting? SUX
Don’t apologize, brother! There’s room for improvement with our show. Thanks for watching. – Show Creator, Lamont Pierré
Lamont…. Thank you soo much for creating this show. There has been such a void to see regular black gay men on film.. I am very intrigued to see where this is going. I hope you have more stories like this in the future.
Great, I found myself being drawn in. I want to know more about the characters and their situations. When is Ep. 3?
Even though the acting is somewhat amateurish, I find the storyline interesting and can’t wait until the next episode.
I like it. I’ve watched it quite a few times. The acting is what it is, but not bad…we’ve seen worse. I’m excited because these guys, these characters seem real. I’m excited to learn more…however…please work on the sound quality lol. Kudos to the creators of this!
Congrats. Episode two is intriguing. Some constructive criticism … not everyone a fan of R&B, may want to great more creative in music choices.
this is show is simply interesting…not everything is about oscar performances or they wouldnt be a tyler perry people. very genuine wish it was longer….keep pushing guys great job thus far.
