Kendrick Lamar, our favorite young rapper over on these parts, just fucked the game up with a dope 4-song medley performance on the inaugural episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
For those of you who slept on To Pimp A Butterfly, K.Dot’s second studio album, this performance further demonstrates what you you’ve been missing. For those of you already hipped to the best Hip Hop album released in 2015 so far, the songs performed last night were “Wesley’s Theory,” “Momma,” “King Kunta,” and “u.”
What makes this performance even better is that it serves as a sequel to his amazing performance on the final episode of Stephen Colbert’s “The Colbert Report.” Watch it HERE if you haven’t seen that yet.

Thanks for posting this – I missed it and most of the clips available at other sites of the first night were from interviews or sketches. Glad to see Colbert continues to break the mold with his guests.
Definitely gonna be watching!
