Stigma Attached to Wanting to be in a Relationship

Adults always liked me more,but my brother was more popular with our peer group.Even now most of his friends are 20 and everyone i talk to is usually older than me.

 

Now that Im a few days removed and 'out my feelings' I think the part that's being glossed over is that no one is implying that relationships are easy for str8s. They're hard for everyone, but when ppl are running around acting as if gay one's are all 'headaches', compared to ur str8 cousins beautiful wedding, can we at least keep this thing 100?

Ur str8 (and seemingly so, at the time) cousins have been dating since hs. U sat ur azz on the couch and did hw, played sports n dreaded the locker room, or went to extracurriculars.

Grama came up to all of ur str8, 30+ cousins, male n female, n said, 'baby, when u gon settle down n give me some more grandbabies?'.

Grama, (if u even get there w the luxury of ur fam knowing, and still fukn w u) comes up to u and says, 'i don't agree w ur 'lifestyle' but i still love you, and _____.'

Im done. Ijs, I REALLY wish gays would stop comparing the amt of innate damage they carry through day to day life, in 2016, to the generalities of straight ppl.

Just because it doesn't affect our abilities to have careers, mortgages, and, even love, doesn't erase the years missed by us not being able to ask a dude out to Wendy's after school, like everyone else did in school.

Go figure why we're all sooo 'comfortable'.

 

The only thing I will say is that everyone isn't meant to be in a relationship. The sooner those people understand that and don't allow themselves to be pressured into relationships the better everyone will be. Also, once love freaks stop pressuring people to be in relationships it'll be much better.

 

Its interesting that the relationship threads are almost always the topic with the most comments and in particular the thread topic where Nick participates and shares his opinion the most.
