I will actually watch this. I find that I enjoy lgbt films from other countries for reasons other then just sex appeal. I can't say the same for our own.

 

American LGBT films are too focused on the sex apart, in my opinion.

 

I do like Russell Tovey, as an actor. However I could NOT stand his character on Looking HBO. I do admit that there is truth to his statements made in the article about Masculinity, that got all the White Queer's in Hollywood butt hurt. Also I do not know if its a British or European thing but most gay actors, not in the US, get more roles in acting than their US counterparts. Tom Cullen, from 'Weekend' has been in Downton Abbey as a straight love interest to one of the main characters. Ben Whishaw, from 'London Spy' has been in big movies like The Lobster. I do think Hollywood is not that open to give Gay actors a chance. OH! unless you look like Matt Bomer.

 

Speaking of London Spy, that was a very beautiful Gay series that is WORTH watching. The action, the storytelling, BRILLIANT! Foreign Gay films beat American films, by faaaaaar.

 

Just noting that Tom Cullen isn't gay. He's been with the woman from Orphan Black for years. It's good that audiences don't look at him differently or try to pigeonhole him for playing a gay role, something a lot of actors used to worry about.
