I personally think half the problem is that a lot of these priests have these desires and think that being priests will somehow fix them. Then they're put in positions of power and influence, have repressed and denied themselves, and act out in debauched ways because they didn't have healthy outlets or the proper psychological care to treat it. And the Church, being an organization, covers it up as most organizations do to not get the bad press that comes with it, but instead makes everything look shadier.

It's human nature at work.

 

But this is an example of how you can't change who you are. There's no praying the gay away. It's hard coded into your DNA.

But people who think it's a choice spin this as him being weak.
