Sexual roles

Well if you have made a commitment, any form of sexual contact with anyone beyond your committed could be considered cheating.

 

If I wouldn't have sex with you, why would I kiss you? That makes no sense.

 

Oral sex is sex...it has the word "sex" in its name...

If I can catch a Sexually Transmitted Infection doing it, its sex.

If I were dating a dude and we went to a party where it was discovered that he "only" had oral sex with everyone in the room in the past, not penetration....I would still think he had sex with all of them...

 

Yeah, but could you be in an intimate relationship, where penetration did not exist at all?

 

Why do you have to sacrifice one for the other? Why can't you have both?

 

My sentiments, exactly. I'm not all that sexual of a person, but when I do feel like gettin' it in and once I'm tired of all the foreplay and intimacy, etc etc,, I'm trying to dig or get dug.

 

I think I could. Maybe I'd feel different in some long-term relationship, something I haven't experienced, but I haven't felt a need to dig or get dug beyond satisfying curiosity. I would probably date an asexual as long as they appreciated nonsexual physical intimacy.

 

I really pretty much feel that penetration isn't that big of a deal for me. On either end.

I have to put some forthought into being penetrated and I don't feel an ache if you will without it. I know some guys can get their prostrate hit and get off that way but I have not gotten there. I need direct penile stimuli. So I could definitely do oral only or just mutual touching and manipulation.

And I definitely get there to see previews because I need to know what's out. Watching trailers on YouTube isn't it.

 

I could be with someone who was the same position I was. I'm not hung up on penetration as much either. I tend to be attracted to more dudes who share my preference so I know there will have to be some compromise there. I have gotten plenty of people (dudes and females) off and not had to penetrate...

 

I just want to pop my head back in here and just say that this thread is awesome! I am surprised to see or read that guys on here that are open to alternatives in a relationship. I didn't know their were guys "open minded" like this. Especially, my bruthas.

Also, I am almost done listening to the Bottoms podcast and it is a eye opener. I am so glad that I found this site. I really don't have any close gay friends. Besides my ex and two other dudes that's about it. The two guys, I don't associate with much because our lifestyles are too different. I don't really talk to my ex because the breakup is still fresh for me (even though it's been a year).

I don't really like gay men based on past situations. I feel sometimes that the only thing that I have in common with most is that we are sexually attracted to the same sex. I have felt that most gays are shallow, messy, and only focused on celebrities. I don't have tolerance for that. So, it's good to be able to come on here and this fulfill a need in me. It also is dispelling those stereotypes, that I have attached to the men in our community.

I will venture out slowly and try to meet other gay men (black men particularly) for friendships. Sorry everybody for the essay I just wrote, a brutha should have majored in English. I had to get this shyt off my chest. Alright, I am going to step back out.

Lol. Yeah, it probably are some on here. But, I am not talking about the small percentage. Yes, it gives me a outlet via the "net".

 

I don't really have a sexual role. I've done different things in the past and I'm pretty flexible. Penetration isn't all that important to me either way. Ideally, I would want my dude to be flexible too.

 

LMAO!!! Im just sayin, I was in a year long relationship where all we did was j/o and that shit got OLD. Granted, I know now he was gettin' dug out by his best friend and GOD only knows how many other nikkaz while I was at work, but that's another chapter. I know me, and a Penetration-less relationship on either side, aint gonna cut it for me. LOL

 

Don't listen to him. For years this site has been a diamond in the rough for the Gay Community. When the "messy" individuals started flocking into the comments sections 3 years ago, we quickly drove them away and set a tone for the future. You may see some folks here lightly teasing each other but that's because they've built brotherly relationships over time so there's a comfort level established between them. However, you'll never see the personal attacks or ridiculing of physical appearance or using sexual roles as an insult or the kind of immaturity that you find on most black gay sites.

Glad you're here and I hope the site & community continues to help you step out of that shell when if comes to fellow gay men.

Lol. Thanks I'm good. Like I said in one of the other threads, that I have to remind myself that this is not that type of site. I was getting a tad heated. But, everything is good.

I could def do it. My ex was also a top/vers top, and we had a VERY active sex life. Smashing wasnt/isnt always necessary.

The funny thing is that, eventho I think a lot of guys know this, what I said in another thread about guys still having hangups abt feeling like theyre 'the guy' in the relationship, is still an issue, even with the sex role issue (that some guys have) removed.
