The GM Corporation has taunted and titillated us enough with their announcements of “the next big product” coming to a show room near you. Introducing the big luxury truck that they said we would probably never have again, the full-sized 2015 Cadillac Escalade. GM had to get rid of a lot of dead weight and rethink the gravy-train that made the reliable Escalade the best-selling Full Sized Luxury SUV on the planet. In doing so they redesigned the Escalade time and time again. They had to decide on whether or not to make it smaller with a smaller displacement and be able to obtain better fuel mileage. Or should they stay the course with what made the Escalade such a household name in the first place. They STAYED THE COURSE.
Expect creature comforts as leather and soft touch materials abound. Separate spaces are at a premium, and after much hoopla it turns out that Cadillac is going to make Limousine companies and not to mention big families (with big pockets) extremely happy again by offering the ESV model. With room for six to eight adults, long comfortable rides will be over in a snap of the finger. The dash follows Cadillac’s current impeccable design. With push button start, wood, leather, metal, carbon fiber, power everything, stalk shifter, suede and CUE (Cadillac User Experience) interface. The rear lights are piped LED and in typical Cadillac form shaped like a large vertical boomerang.
Bottom line: Still big, still brash, still bold and still unapologetic and I’m glad. If the Cadillac Escalade is the truck that you want, there is quite simply no substitute.

NO DOUBT..! Gimme two of em..! thanks for your comment Lee.. This is Dre’.. deuces..!!
It’s more refined but it’s not the game changer I expected it to be. And that 1989 column shifter is horrid and out of place for a so called “luxury suv”.
Wut up Pegasus.. The game change is mostly underneath.. The Escalade has transformed from your typical truck riding SUV to a CUV platform giving it a more smooth, and less jarring ride than the last models. The handling is supposed to be far superior to anything in it’s class on the road today. All the rest is just typical Cadillac architecture. Elegant, fast, comfortable, reliable and expensive.. Thanks for your comment BP.. this is Dre’.. dueces!
It’s still a tarted up Chevrolet Tahoe. I remember during the 2000s when GM was selling lots of Escalades. They were laughing all the way to the bank.
