Following his interview on the Breakfast Club, Dr. Umar Johnson appears on TVOne’s Roland Martin show to clarify his position on interracial dating, his education achievements, the monies raised for his school for Black boys and his lineage to Frederick Douglass. Things kinda take a turn for the worse when another panelist calls Johnson a “liar” during the discussion.
Check out my commentary below and as always feel free to share your thoughts.

Anyone can position themselves above the fray. Does not mean they are. Johnson’s intentions are solid. But he has no follow through to support his opinion of himself nor results to show of his operation.
I really didn't want to watch this because I really don't like seeing black professional "intellectuals" fight on whats best for the black race to achive.
Yeah I didn't really understand why the other panelist were on there. Because Dr Umar is so controversial, I thought it was just going to be a conversation between Ronald and Dr U. I don't really understand why the panelist were so mad about his views on interracial dating. Many black ppl that are not even pan africanist/african nationalist/afrocentric believe the same thing. Most black moms, aunties, grannies would prefer their male members of their family to bring home black women.
Since Ronald is big on black education I thought they were going to talk more about education. I also think this was a missed opportunity to talk more about his school. Does he have an official nonprofit 501(c)(3) status? Does he have an advisory board setup, does he have material on what the school curriculum or building will look like? Since it will be a private school how much will tuition cost? Also what all does he actually need for the school has he created a budget proposal for the public to see? Creating an all black private school from scratch is really hard work; you need to be open to investors and the public about what you want from them.
Just so many other important things I think they missed with this conversation.
Dr. U is a shock jock, self-aggrandizing, narcissist. The only reason he is relevant is that he makes ridiculous statements.
I should be soooo ashamed of myself. Haven't been on CA for a couple of days, saw Umar pic pop up and first thing I thought was Ock had done a Planet of the Apes review
:dead1:
I keep looking at Johnson's picture and hearing "Ape shall not kill ape…"
I think more and more people are finally starting to realize that the emperor has no clothes when it comes to Umar Johnson. To be blunt he's a fraud and a con artist. He appeals to the worst instincts in human beings in peddling conspiracy theories, fear, paranoia, scapegoating, all while offering very little in the way of solutions. About the only thing I agree with him on is that black people as a group don't do ourselves any favors by getting into interracial relationships. We're the only group of people who want so desperately to accepted by other ethnic groups who don't want us.
The vast majority of black relationships gay and straight are with other blacks. It's not true that's blacks date outside our race more than any other group. I don't know how this misnomer got started. It's just not factually or empirically true.
I think a lot of people think this because of misinformation and them seeing black celebrities (gay or straight) in interracial relationships. Black people are the least to marry out side our race while Asians do it the most.
I remember Paul C Brunson doing an interview on this subject a while back:
I didn't watch the clip op posted, but the original in YT and it was hilarious. Too bad they didn't start to bang themselves off…atleast that I was expecting in any moment!
Umar speaks like a racist, so I cannot take him seriously.
Btw, how he feels about gay people?
For some reason this Umar guy made me think of Brown's late women…you know…
For someone who is so keen on black men marrying black women he seems to not want to LISTEN to black women. Johnson wouldn't let the female panelist get a word in edgewise (I also blame Martin for poor moderation). Showing, once again, Hoteps are the ultimate misogynists, nothing more than chocolate coated Trumpers or Taliban, expecting black women to just shut up and be pregnant.
I also hate hotep niggas who claim to speak for "Africa" and "Africans". Reminds me of college when I mentioned Kwanzaa to a Nigerian student friend and he replied in his thick accent, "African holiday? We don' celebrate no goddam Kwanzaa in Africa!" Hoteps, like ignorant white people (and Some African Americans) speak as if the continent is one monotone collection of undifferentiated black folk, as if there are aren't dozens and hundreds of countries, ethnic groups, languages, religions, economies, businesses, etc. Hell, Nigeria alone is a multi-state nation comparable to the USA in that respect. Once again, beneath it all, hoteps and American "Pan-Africanists" prove their own latent white supremacy by showing they don't know shit about REAL Africans…
Reread what I wrote. I didn't say black people date outside of their race more than any other group. I just said we don't do ourselves any favors. Yes. I am aware that majority of black people of all orientarions date within their race.
I have noticed with Trump becoming president and all the BS he said and still continues to say that it has empowered all these other frauds to get louder and bold with their BS, just to get to get their names out there. Be it a radio broadcast or TV spots, the crazier the msg the more the b$$kings.
