To be honest, I haven’t seen EMPIRE since its entertaining pilot episode, but I still found this Tonight Show parody of the show starring Jimmy Fallon and The Roots very hilarious.
The 10-minute sketch, that also features appearances by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, shows us Jimmy Fallon struggling to choose who will take over his “Jimpire” once he retires.
While I may not have gotten all of the references from the show, it was still a joy to see Black Thought spitting some bars and Cookie Lyons sparring off with Tonight Show sidekick Higgins.
