My fav podcast released on the site so far. just missed my man @ocky. Well done cypheravenue
Fly Young Red, LastO, and BryNt are my top 3. I give an honorable mention to Sony Cobain. Those dudes are COLD!
This was a great podcast and probably my favorite one next to the roundtable podcasts #8 and #21. I learned so much and never knew that the gay rappers had so much BEEF. They went in on those tracks!
Great Podcast. I miss the Doo-Dirty show and remember a lot of the early beefs. Bryn’t definitely did his thing and I’m impressed that he’s managed to evolve and mature enough as an artist to keep relevant when pretty much everyone else from those early days fell off.
Well I will say this. I am an R&B baby, so I don’t really follow ‘beefs,’ not even regular hip hop beefs. I was VERY surprised that even in gay hip-hop, there were beefs, especially since the only two gay rappers I knew were BryNt and LastO (and I love and support Fly Young Red). I didn’t know BryNt was THAT good of a rapper, and people were coming for him like that, and he won EVERY SINGLE BATTLE!!! Like WOW!!! But LastO is still my favorite rapper because I think he’s the only gay rapper I see as a rapper that doesn’t have to have his ‘gayness’ show to prove how talented he is. At the end of this, I still only care for BryNt and LastO (and still support Fly Young Red lol) because apparently this gay hip hop pool is waaaaaay too small for these rappers to be beefing with each other. They actually should find ways to make their names bigger and get more attention for their talents. They could be bigger than small clubs and Pride events, in my opinion. I just see that they have bigger potential than this. This beef stuff is kinda petty, but I must say it does bring out some of their best work (well at least for BryNt, being that the only song I heard from him was Beat It Up, and I’ve heard and LOVED LastO’s Where’s Vivian album). So uhm…. yeah…. this comment is way too long.
