Motivational Speaker Eric Thomas, aka The Hip Hop Preacher, is probably no stranger to those that frequent this website. His “Secrets to Success” speech has been circulated millions of times on the Internet. The speech basically “motivates” people to want success so badly that they forget to eat and sleep. Not sure how healthy this advice is, but its meant to motivate, not to be taken literally.
I have a suspicious love/hate relationship with these motivational speakers who preach about “success.” Most times when you do the research to see if they themselves are successful, you find out their “success” only came AFTER they sold the motivational books and speaking appearances about the success that they had not yet achieved.
Eric Thomas’ case is no different, but his words are still flowery and inspirationally metaphoric so it matters not. At the very least, he has motivated tons of athletes to train harder in the gym and chisel their amazing bodies. If you’re a gym rat or just someone looking to start getting in shape for next summer, check out the sports videos below using Eric Thomas’ speech for your workout (and life) motivation.

Yoooo…this stuff is great! I’ve been watching videos like this EVERY morning for the past year. Staying motivated and driven sometimes requires a little pep talk every now and then. But in those moments when you can’t get a live person to give you one in person or over the phone, these kinds of videos usually do the trick. They’re not necessarily tailored to our individual experiences, but in theory they are. Most of us are tripping over the same hurdles as the next man on our paths to greatness. All I can say is that I’m more goal-oriented than I’ve ever been and stuff like this has helped me get my second, third, and fourth wind. Thanks for posting this Nick! There’s definitely levels to this!
