I have definitely neglected to feature the talented French mega star Stromae before now…my bad. He has released an animated video for his classically inspired track Carmen. The video focuses on social media-self-centeredness and consumerism. I’m sure we all see the examples highlighted in the video on the daily.
Azealia Banks – Ice Princess
The always controversial, talented and creative Banks is back with an eye popping video for Ice Princess. The Araab Muzik sample hits hard as Medusa Banks sits upon her ice throne. Love the visuals.
Kendrick Lamar – King Kunta
Riding the success of the fire To Pimp A Butterfly, the King of Compton drops King Kunta. Kunta has an old school Dr. Dre-esk early 90’s feel and the video compliments the vibe perfectly. I aint mad at’cha Lamar.
Kendrick has become a bit played out to me. J. Cole has definitely taken the reigns.
