Never have I seen a plus size manikin in a store BUT I have definitely been seeing more of the plus-size male models on the runway, print, online, and commercials. If plus-size women are embraced in society on different media platforms then the men should have that same right.
But is he considered plus size though? LOL
I think ASOS started this trend (preview post I created lol😎 Its really good to see the fashion world think about the regular people for once. So people can acually see what the clothes will look like in there size w/ proper fitting.

TO me he's not but in the fashion world if your not skinny ur fat lol.
I think this makes great sense. Bigger guys are often (silently) told to throw on a tshirt and jeans and go sit down. Not only would visuals help guide a guy who's not used to options, but fashion lines gain new customers by embracing a different demographic.
Also, plus size doesn't auto mean fat. There's a good chance that dude above often can't find his size at popular fashion stores, so he fits the bill, technically.
I consider myself fat even though people wouldn't actually say I'm fat.
I started to buy the athletic fit jeans by Levi's when they first came out because they were the only ones that could accommodate my lower body without looking like my jeans were too tight or killing my balls in the crotch. I can wear the Old Navy ones, well I fit there athletic jeans but they are saggy in the crotch and rub up between my thighs.
For t shirts, I'm at that odd shape where xl is only a little too tight but 2xl is too damned loose. Having a muscle fat body is difficult.
There are plenty of wardrobe subscriptions services that are catering to the thicker man like Winston box. Now, even Bonobos is carrying larger sizes too.
I signed up for the zozo.com suit to get a custom pair of jeans and a t-shirt. We'll see how that goes.
I shop on ASOS regularly and every time I see that guy I wonder if he needs to be in plus size. Most of the "plus size" guys on there look like him.
The mannequins are a bit much though. I wonder what store is using these? I'm going to try and find one next time I go shopping lol

The model is thick to me and by definition could be categorized as plus sized runway. However, the mannequins are portly.
