Unlike large swaths of the Black gay community, I’m not and have never been a fan of gossip queen Wendy Williams. Her fame and fortune is primarily built off of other celebrities’ (primarily Black) misery whether truthful or unfounded. This is why I’m unsympathetic of her current personal family drama.
What I am happy to recall is one of the best clap-backs she ever received which happened in 2003 at the hands of judge and philanthropist Judge Greg Mathis.
Listening to her thorough roasting I’m surprised her then producer and jack-ass Charlamagne tha God didn’t cut Judge Mathis’ mic or cut to commercial to save his boss’ ass. It didn’t matter because he ends up getting sucked into the vortex of the verbal thrashing. Check out this throwback clip below.

I dont care one way of the other about WW. I enjoyed her radio show back in the day more so because of the silly sound effects and regular people calls and it got me through the last 4hrs of my security shift when I worked at the Durst Bldg. She filled/ fills a niche for those people that enjoy celebrity gossip and live vicariously through lives that they will never themselves attain. But I will say, Judge Mathis to' her ass to fkn shreds in this interview. LMAO
Yea, Judge Mathis could never get away w the way he was speaking in 2019. I've personally never been a fan because I can't take his self-given pass to be an asshole under the guise of 'keeping it real' because he got into a lil trouble on the 'mean streets' of Detroit when he was a teenage kid.
That said, Wendy could've used a lot more cuss outs back then.
I feel Judge Mathis should no RESPECT to Wendy Williams he acted more like a person on something than Wendy Williams! He was Very Unprofessional!
