Picture To be honest, I really don’t know what the straight-to-dvd film “Immortal Kiss: Queen of the Night” is supposed to be…Initially, the casting of six attractive black men of all shades drove me to looking up more information about the film. Then I saw that the plot involved fantasy and science fiction elements, very rare in a movie catered to gay men. But after watching Immortal Kiss, I realized that it’s not even a gay movie at all. In actuality, it’s not a movie for heterosexuals either.

The thin plot-line of “Immortal Kiss” involves a group of men who all converge on a luxurious mansion after receiving an invitation from a powerful woman named Ms Amina (played by the very first Black Bond-Girl, Trina Parks). What they don’t know is she is an immortal Vampire or something. It’s never explained what she is really, she has fangs but she freely walks around in daylight, so who knows. All that really isn’t important. What’s crucial to know is she’s looking for her male counterpart to be her companion for all of eternity.

That brings us back to the six sexy men mentioned earlier. Every single one of them are easy on the eyes and perfect for this film’s premise. If I were an immortal looking for a mate, I’d definitely want similar men to choose from. On top of that, their acting abilities are not too shabby at all, especially the lead male played by handsome newcomer Quincy Ndekwe. Rounding out the hotness are actors Jonathan Davis, Jerrell Pippens and Preston Davis.

What’s confusing about “Immortal Kiss” is that it’s not a traditional Horror/Thriller film because nothing really horrific or thrilling happens. We’re led to believe that only one man will survive to be Ms Amina’s mate but there’s no suspense built at all leading to this. True, men are killed off one-by-one but all of it happens off-screen. On top of that, there are extended scenes of the Jerrell Pippens working out, walking around the mansion and taking a shower for no apparent reason except to look at his slim chiseled body. No complaints here except that these scenes are literally at least 10 minutes long a piece! Seriously, there are 10 minute long shower scenes!

I would possibly excuse this if full frontal nudity was involved but this film is VERY PG-13. It’s below even soft-core pornography as there are NO sex scenes whatsoever. There are no man-on-man intimacy scenes let alone man-on-woman sex scenes. On top of that, as sexy as Trina Parks used to be, she’s a senior citizen now and time has not really been kind to her to be the lead actress for this type of film as the sexy temptress. So this movie is NOT a hardcore or softcore porn for gay men or even straight women. It’s also NOT a passable horror film, by any means. It serves NO purpose whatsoever but to immortalize these young men’s modelesque looks and physiques on film before they age and lose it all.

Having said that, it was definitely still a fun and erotic watch while under the influence. That’s the only reason I’m sharing it with you now. A night of vodka and TV watching made this movie laughably sensual. If you’ve got time, money, a group of horny friends and drugs/alcohol to burn, I’d recommend you view this erotic photo-shoot disguised as a horror film. Otherwise, you may want to hold off for the inevitable sequel.
