This week a year ago we happily announced the news that Deondray Gossett and Quincy LeNear, creators of the awesome yet short lived Gay themed series “The D.L. Chronicles”, were gearing up to produce new episodes of the series beginning in 2012.

Since then, they launched an ambitious yet unsuccessful $125,000 Kickstarter Campaign, released a four-episode web series and raised $15,186 on indieGoGo to film a single new full-length episode.

After a long casting process they settled on handsome actor Gabriel Corbin (pictured) for the lead character “Thomas.” According to the fellas, the new episode entitled, “Episode Thomas” tells the story of a closeted firefighter, paralyzed from the waist down, who has given up on life until he meets and finds himself falling for a charming physical therapist who seems to give out mixed messages.

Sounds somewhat interesting on paper (albeit a little limited story-wise) but given their past work, at the least we expected the episode to showcase a wide range of non-stereotypical masculine Gay characters. We weren’t let down once we saw the new Teaser Trailer and Behind the Scenes Featurette for the episode.

We look forward to seeing more work from these guys as they are currently the only openly Gay black filmmakers producing quality Gay-themed work both from script to screen.
